PIANO TABLE

As a team comprised of myself, Marcel Gutierrez and Niki Alagha, we designed a table which would fit into a modern Vancouver Condo. A table often acts as a central gathering place for individuals in the home and we wanted our product to promote that sense of community. Being for condo use, it required quick and easy disassembly for storage and transportation, while still being sturdy enough to trust with your belongings.

To drive the form factor of the design we used the image of someone playing a piano. Much like our table, a piano is an object in the home that is often used to bring people together while remaining only a small part of that dynamic. The people are really the parts of the mechanism that make the experience.
